Moving away from a storm

On Sunday morning (Saturday, 10 July 2010 at 10:41pm Eastern Time),  Alan Stewart sent the following storm email message by radio:  "We are doing fine. We have a strong safe boat and it is taking good care of us."

At that time the SPOT position data and weather data from uGrib indicated that they are headed NW away from the storm.  The storm was to the south of them and was at that time headed away from them towards the SE.

  1. I hope they are doing well with the strong winds, this was good you posted I had no idea! I just wanted to say I got the Eye of the World DVD today in the mail and just finished watching it. It was such a treat to see them and I encourage everyone to get the video. My favorite is when they catch the sailfish and are so excited about how big it is but they aren't sure what to do with it :)
